GBG Cagayan de Oro just turned one!
It has been an amazing year for us. To celebrate this, we had a small gathering last June 7 at Xavier University's Little Theater.
We were reminded how in such a small time GBG Cagayan de Oro has already made a great impact in the community.
Plus, there are a lot of exciting events to look out for in the coming years. We are just getting started and we are getting bigger.
For instance, our recently named Google Student Ambassadors are already planning some exciting stuff for our local campuses and students.
Our local mapping expert, Drey also shared how we are getting more active in mapping our very own Cagayan de Oro City. We will have more mapping events this year!
We also introduced GBG Women, headed by Ruby Caberte and Irene Aserios. This group should give women entrepreneurs a chance to make an impact in our local business community.
We also concluded the celebration by encouraging everyone to share their GBG Stories of how Google was able to (or will be able to) transform their businesses.
All of these should be enough to keep everyone excited for what is yet to come.
We would like to thank everyone who made GBG Cagayan de Oro a successful group. We have amazing volunteers, partners and sponsors who believe in us.
Together, we will continue to explore, learn, share, and discover how Google products can help the local business communities benefit from technology.
See you on the next event!
For now, here is a quick video of the celebration we had:
